Rag and Bone Classic Newbury Ankle Boots Greetings from New York Fashion Week!

As you might have noticed, things have been a little slow around here in the past few days. Our entire (tiny) staff is attending the shows and events of New York Fashion Week until Thursday, so until we’re able to find an hour or two to sit down and write something that’s at least halfway intelligible and mostly free of typos, TalkShoes is going to be a tad quiet. We should have a couple of posts over the next few days before we return to full force at the end of the week with the details on all of the best shoes from the shows.

In the meantime, I thought I’d leave you ladies with what seems to be the unofficial shoe of Fashion Week – the Rag & Bone Classic Newbury Ankle Boot. I think I’ve seen this design on more fashionable ladies this week than any other, and when you get down to the details, it makes sense. Rag & Bone is a very trendy brand right now among fashion people, the boot itself is incredibly versatile and can be worn with anything from dresses to skinnies, the heel gives a little bit of height without punishing the wearer for daring to don it for an event that requires as much standing at waiting as Fashion Week does. It’s the perfect choice, and it can be had through Net-a-Porter for $495.

I sincerely appreciate the patience, and I hope that you’ll take the Rag & Bone Perforated Suede Oxfords as a token of my gratitude.

Maybe it’s just all the walking I’ve been doing lately, but these bright little shoes are a sight for sore eyes and sorer feet. And while I probably shouldn’t be taking them out in the rainy weather we’ve been having, I’ll gladly set them aside and pray for sunshine.
