Name That Pair: Paris Haute Couture Week
Everyone on the TalkShoes team is a big fan of street style photographer Tommy Ton. His style blog Jak and Jil is a constant source of inspiration and entertainment for those of us who are just as interested in what editors and stylists are wearing as we are in what goes down the runway at Fashion Week. Lucky for us, Ton has served as Style.com’s official fashion show photographer for the past few seasons, making sure that none of us miss a single one of Carine Roitfeld’s shoes or piece of Anna Dello Russo’s jewelry.
Most of the shoes and accessories that Ton photographs can be more or less easily identified, but I’m having a hard time with the glorious pair up top. This photo was taken at the recently ended Paris Couture Week, and more often than not, the shoes and accessories that editors and buyers choose correspond to the show that they’re attending. Given that bit of information, do any of you know who made these? Dior? Givenchy? A designer not represented at couture week?
