I’ve had the Diego Dolcini Fanned Zip Back Sandals sitting in a tab in my browser for a full week now, and Friday seems like as good a day as any to tackle their boundless…well, their boundless whatever. Sometimes, I have far more fun perusing the shoe collections of lesser-known designers than those of footwear heavyweights. Italian designer Diego Dolcini has been plying his trade since the mid-1990s, and his Spring 2011 footwear collection is everything that Jimmy Choo’s spring collection should be – sexy, architectural and trend-referencing without trend-aping.

My personal favorite is the greige chunky-heeled sandal that mixes minimalism with Italian-style sensuality in a rather skillful way, but others may prefer the considerable multicolored charms of the collection’s stilettos. Read More…
