Christian Louboutin Duvette Pumps, $675 via Net-a-Porter

Even people who aren’t big Louboutin fans (if those people really do exist, which they might not) have to admit that the designer does an impeccable job of setting a mood. Even with a relatively simple shoe like the Christian Louboutin Duvette Pumps, Louboutin expertly transports us to whatever era he desires, and this one’s a couple decades gone. Read More…

If you’ve been following along here with us for a while, you might remember that our ecstatic post about the Christian Louboutin x Jonathan Saunders Fall 2011 collection when it debuted at London Fashion Week last season. Thankfully, many of the runway shoes that Louboutin makes for other designers find their way to retail in his own line, and that’s exactly what has happened with the Christian Louboutin Enclume Platform Oxfords. And that’s just the heels – could you have seen yourself in oxfords, brogues or loafers five years ago? Read More…

This whole God Save My Shoes documentary is just the gift that keeps on giving, isn’t it? The first sneak peek took us behind the scenes at the storied Vogue shoe closet, and this one has us inside where all the magic happens – at Christian Louboutin‘s studio, of course. The clip is short, but there are so dazzling close-ups and a few words from the man himself. Read More…

Christian Louboutin Morphing Pumps, $995 via Net-a-Porter

Normally, a pair of leopard haircalf Christian Louboutin pumps is a quick way to earn entrance into my heart. In fact, had you simply said those words to me, I would likely have told you that there would be no shoe fitting that descriptor that I would want to own. And yet, here are the Christian Louboutin Morphing Pumps, which fly in the face of everything I know to be good and holy. Read More…
