Single Sole Pumps Spring 2013

Single-sole pumps (which is the confusing industry term for shoes without a platform, even though technically, all shoes have only one sole) have made a comeback to become a full-fledged trend, and I couldn’t be happier, particularly when the shoe has a well-tailored pointed toe. When properly executed, the look is elegant in a totally modern way (but we don’t blame you if you want to add some embellishment). From traditional Manolo Blahniks to strappy Alexander Wangs, there’s a version of this shoe for every foot.

Another major advantage of this shoe is its ability to transcend seasons. Because the shape is so fundamental, it can be paired with anything from heavy woolen tights to a particularly chic pair of shorts.
