I look forward to Prada’s runway shoes perhaps more than any other every season, and although Spring 2013′s were something of a debacle, I was still full of hope for Prada Fall 2013. Lucky for me (and for shoe lovers everywhere), the collection greeted us with a lineup of classic Prada runway kicks in lots of different variations and a few basic shapes.
In fact, the shapes might be the best part. From chunky menswear-inspired flats to smartly strappy sandals, the structures of the shoes all seemed at least passingly friendly toward an oft-forgotten activity in the shoe world: walking. The heels in this collection were high, sure, but they were also thick and sturdy-looking, with plenty of structure to give the foot support in stride. If you’re still not convinced, though, maybe the zippered flats will be more your speed.
