Mix leather, studs, and leopard, and what do you get? The House of Harlow Haircalf Stud Kye Flats. If you read my prior post on a pair of Alice and Olivia haircalf flats, then there is no need to reiterate my dislike for fur on flats. (Oops, couldn’t resist!) I am usually one to rave about my fondness for color blocking and mixing of textures, but these flats go against everything I believe. To me, this is two different pairs of shoes thrown into one. Either it should be a studded flat or leopard flat, not both. Maybe if the studded part was a cap toe and the rest was a leopard print I would more inclined to write something nice, but as it is, no way.
So I will play the game too. The House of Harlow Haircalf Stud Kye Flats are fugly (am I allowed to say that on the site?!), or to use a more intellectual word, repugnant. Ok, maybe that is a bit harsh, but you get my point. I gave my answer, now it’s your turn to play Fill in the Blank. I’m all ears! If you’re so inclined, pick up your own pair for $195 via ShopBop.
