Nicholas Kirkwood for Erdem is on Net-a-Porter and I'm overjoyed

The Nicholas Kirkwood shoes that graced feet at the Erdem Fall 2012 show were easily, without a doubt, without even a second thought, my favorite shoes of the entire Fall 2012 show season. I’m a big fan of both Kirkwood and Erdem, and seeing the two of them marry their talents is my version of shoe heaven. When the result is what you see above, I’m not sure how anyone could argue with me. Even if they’re not your style, the structure (Kirkwood’s work) and the print (Erdem, natch) are both so perfect that I can barely contain myself.

Regular TalkShoes readers know that I live for a weird shoe, and all three of the Kirkwood x Erdem options that Net-a-Porter is carrying are the the exact combination of weirdness and virtuosity that I prefer. The profile view gives you a great view of one of the things that makes them so special – the upper really does look like it’s floating over the heel at certain angles. I’ll leave the stilettos to other people; sign me up for all of these shoes in a 9.
