So many pieces of Christian Louboutin’s extensive shoe collection could be described as requiring a shameless wearer that I’m honestly surprised it took the brand this long to name a pair just that. I’m also surprised that the pair that finally earned that name is as sedate as the Christian Louboutin Shameless Pumps.

They’re like the (in)famous Daffodils, but with a peep toe like the Highness and a thicker heel. If anything, I’d think that the original Daffodils would be more accurately named Shameless, what with their positively vertiginous stiletto heel and complete lack of straps for extra security. Or maybe they just should have been named Weak Ankles Need Not Apply.

At any rate, these are the shoes that Louboutin has decreed are Shameless, so Shameless they shall be, even if they’re fairly tame for Louboutins. Which says as much about the brand as it does about this particular pair of shoes; when you’ve got a lineup that can make a pair of six-inch heels look relatively tame, well…that’s quite a lineup. I don’t think this design quite earns its name. Buy through Christian Louboutin for $1075.
