I’m going to sound crazy, but do the Yves Saint Laurent Snakeskin Mirror Heel Pumps look vaguely…sneaker-ish to anyone else? Obviously they’re not structured like sneakers, but the way that the mirror bits frame the toe box and the futuristic finish of the snakeskin seems like it’s meant to reference the athletic trend that’s been prevalent for a few seasons now. There are also elements of straight-up futurism; in person, the mirrored accents are likely much more noticeably mirrored than they are in these photos, and the green sole is perfect in its reptilian gleam.
