Megs and I were lucky enough to go to the Christian Louboutin Fall 2012 preview a few months ago, and sadly (although understandably), the fine folks at Louboutin have a no-photo policy during the preview. That’s why we haven’t been able to share a closer peek at the collection until now, and I’d like to start the season with one of my favorite pieces from the preview: the Christian Louboutin Crazy Fur Pumps. Fur on shoes is a difficult proposition, but Louboutin’s incredible talent with embellishment means that he can pull it off where most designers can’t.

As I’ve mentioned before, my personal belief is that keeping fur close-cropped is the key to making it work on shoes and bags. My keeping the puffiness of this heel to a minimum, Louboutin makes the addition of bright pink fur seem spirited and fun instead of ridiculous and unwearable, particularly since the location of the fur doesn’t make it a likely candidate for dunking in murky street puddles. If anyone could make it work, of course, it’s Monsieur Louboutin. Buy through Neiman Marcus for $1195.

I’m not feeling it. Looks like a cheap princess fur set randomly glued on a beautifull pump.

The pink fuzz looks cheap – agree with K Vanlooy

I’ll say it again, Louboutin must be laughing all the way to the bank.
Its really a shame, as he has some beautiful, elegant shoes.  Then there are the absurd, like these. Perhaps he and Miley Cyrus should stop trying to prove themselves, and stick with their strong suits (yes, that’s a reference to her latest appearance on the red carpet sans pants).

It’s like a pink stole to keep the heel warm.
