Most of you know my love for Charlotte Olympia runs very deep – hers is always a bright spot in any list of shoe collections, season after season. With that sort of joie de vivre, though, comes an occasional missteps, and I’m trying to decide if the Charlotte Olympia Rapunzel Wedges are just that. I know that raffia is in for spring, but this is quite a lot of raffia.

After reading the name of the shoe, my opinion did soften a tiny bit. If this shoe is meant to evoke thoughts of the mythical Rapunzel with her building-scaling braids, it makes sense that plaits of raffia wind all over both this shoe and its platform.
