When it comes to making a black pump, only so many things can be adjusted: finish, heel height and girth, platform heigh, vamp line and embellishment. Christian Louboutin already has the sole game locked up, with other designers trailing behind him to find new ways to innovate from that angle. So what sets the Walter Steiger Curved Heel Pumps apart? Well, I think that’s obvious.

I am an enormous fan of this shoe and Steiger’s signature curvaceous heel in general, and it gives the standard black pump just enough of a twist to make it distinctive. What say you? Play our weekly game of Fill in the Blank or pick this shoe up at Barneys for $750.

I’m kind of on the fence? I don’t know if I’d run to the store to get them, but if I had them I’d probably wear them…

To me it looks like it would give you the appearance of having hooves. Not attractive.

theatrical. I can see this in a modern interpretation of a classic play, where all the characters are super vamped up.

Awful, it’s too much similar to McQueen’s models and remind me Lanvin and Miu Miu again, so I don’t like when a pair of shoes doesn’t have its own personality!

Edgy. An interesting change towards the classic black pump. I Like it, but it reminds me of Alexander Mcqueen a little too much. I am terribly not sure if it would be comfortable.

    Sexy.
I don’t know how one walks in those because they don’t look very stable. But, as an owner of more black shoes than I can count, I love them. Unfortunately, money is an object so I will have to admire them from afar.
