For my first collection post after the marathon that was New York Fashion Week, I figured I might as well come back strong. In the footwear world, that means that one should come bearing Louboutins, and that’s exactly what I have. Every year, Christian Louboutin creates shoes for the collections of a number of small brands that don’t have the capacity to make footwear for themselves, and the first such collection of the season is Christian Loboutin x Victoria Beckham Fall 2012.

The collection includes one bootie in three different fabrications – black leather and python, brown leather and python, and dove grey suede and python. The show also included a few models wearing flat motorcycle foots in a similar style, but I’m not sure if those are also Louboutins; from the shots I have, it doesn’t look like the bear the signature red sole. The boot that is a Louboutin, though, is beautiful; it reminds me of some recently popular Dior shoes, except slouchier, wider-heeled and more wearable. The tonal contrast of the materials adds just enough visual interest to make the design seriously luxurious without making it any less wearable. Check out all of the shoes from the show after the jump.

Hm, I don’t like all of the straps. If the straps closer to the toe were gone I’d like these more.
