Giuseppe Zanotti Heelless Crystal Studded Sandals Giuseppe Zanotti takes his heelless sandals to the next levelGiuseppe Zanotti Heelless Crystal Studded Sandals, $2140 via Neiman Marcus

I’ve written about Giuseppe Zanotti Heelless Shoes several times, and despite my general ardor for the brand’s recent work, I’ve never found myself completely enthusiastic about this design in particular. Although I appreciate experimental design (and I especially appreciate it when it’s accessible to people who can’t pay bespoke prices), the previous iterations in smooth, minimal metallic gold leather just left me feeling a tad cold.

The Giuseppe Zanotti Heelless Crystal-Studded Sandals, on the other hand, are all kinds of over-the-top awesomeness. The turquoise suede and seemingly random beaded embellishments actually do a little justice to the in-your-face structure on which they sit. Finally!

In the comments of my previous posts on shoes with this heel shape, at least one person said that they had tried these shoes on and actually found them fairly stable. That’s a really good indication that Zanotti actually put the R&D into this design to make sure that the soles were weighted correctly, so if you’re one of those people who can run in her stilettos, I give you my tentative blessing to try a pair of these babies on for size. If you have a couple extra thousand dollars rattling around in your bank account and rarely feel the need to stand, maybe even buy a pair. Buy through Neiman Marcus for $2140.
