Miu Miu Metallic Trim Wedge Sandals, $690 via Net-a-Porter

My favorite footwear time of year is when the resort and spring sandals start popping up at retail. As much as I love boots, they all start to look the same after a while; sandals, on the other hand, have as many colors, textures, embellishments and shapes as you can think of. Miu Miu is a perennial favorite of mine, but even more so when it does things like the Miu Miu Metallic Trim Wedge Sandals.

As much as I love Miu Miu’s wacky, glittery, quirky aesthetic, the brand also makes some fantastically wearable shoes from time to time. Despite the fact that what we see here is a coral suede wedge with mirrored silver trim, I think this design fits that bill, particularly when you consider it relative to Miu Miu’s more famous offerings.

Think about it: Wouldn’t this make a great accent to a sundress? Or a pair of wide-leg linen pants? Or my pajamas, while I sit on my couch and blog, stopping every few minutes to stare lovingly at my new shoes? I can think of so many potentially lovely scenarios to wear them. Is it spring yet?
