We already took a small look forward at Nicholas Kirkwood Spring 2012, but with holidays looming, it seemed only appropriate to post the whole thing for you ladies (and a few gents) to ogle until we get back to our normal posting duties on Friday. After all, everyone should be rewarded for their patience, and there’s no way that I’d be able to bake a pie big enough to feed all of you. You’ll have to accept shoes instead.

And some shoes these are. Not only does Kirkwood play with pattern, color and texture, as he’s known for doing, but he tries out a few new heel heights that fans of actually wearing shoes may find intriguing. They’re not stilettos, not kitten heels, but the oft-unseen mid heels! Yep, that’s right. You might be able to stand in a few of these stellar designs for more than a few minutes at a time. I told you these shoes were a reward.

ahhh…my quirky kirky – he’s a religion unto himself. who wouldn’t walk a mile in any of his shoes, eh. but it pains me to have to say his 2011 collections were phenomenally better — instant heart melt and simply stunning beyond compare, especially the designs for rodarte. this year’s initial offering doesn’t elicit the same (nor even more of the) ‘bling ka-pow i wanna have your babies’ mantra… but the man still knows how to seduce.
