Much has been said on the Internet about Barneys exceptionally cool windows celebrating Christian Louboutin’s 20th year in business, but it’s been hard to find images to share that do the mechanical displays any kind of justice; sometimes things that are a marvel of set design in person don’t translate easily to a flat image Finally, Julia Chesky at Modelizing.us has given us some pictures worth sharing.
We have a couple more after the jump or you can check out Chesky’s full photo set on her blog, but I’d encourage you to see these windows in person if you’re in or around New York. The scale of movement is really fascinating, as are how lifelike the legs are when seen with your own eyes. They were molded off of a live model, which is probably why they’re so creepily perfect.
