Miu Miu Glitter and Calf Hair Pumps, $650 via Net-a-Porter

Ok, ok, we all know how I feel about Miu Miu’s Fall 2011 runway shoes. I’ve made that clear, and this post is not about them. (But it’s early yet. There will probably be a post about them this week. My self-control is nonexistent.) The Miu Miu Glitter and Calf Hair Pumps are a non-runway interpretation of some of the eccentric ideas that came together for the central collection, most notably the mixture of heavy textural elements that makes the designs stand out in the crowd.

The traditional, wearable shape combined with a metric ton of gold glitter and the unexpected touch of calf hair and the heel and toe is just the kind of thing that feels relevant and modern right now. And while these aren’t exactly office shoes for most women, if you work in a creative industry or have very chic coworkers, these would look great with a full skirt and tights for fall. Buy through Net-a-Porter for $650.

If u replace the calf hair with black leather, they are identical to a pair of Chanel shoes i bought 2yrs ago.

i know you probably are going to hate me but this shoes look like something a coco chanel drag queen would wear as an everyday shoe (note that i’m not saying they are ugly, but after all they are just another eccentric pair of shoes clearly inspired by CHANEL)
