Theyskens Theory Patent Leather Wedges, $465 via Net-a-Porter

Let me just say this: For the Theyskens Theory Patent Leather Wedges, I might be willing to give white shoes a try.

Normally, my thoughts about white shoes go something like this: No, no, absolutely not. And not only do white shoes provide a few functional problems because of the necessity of putting shoes on the dirty, filthy ground, but they also tend to make you like you’re wearing part of a “sexy nurse” Halloween costume. Usually, they’re just a bad idea.

But like most things that Olivier Theyskens does, there’s just something special about these shoes in a way that only dedicated fashion fanatics will appreciate. They’re not particularly wearable, but they’re just so sharp. White patent is a perfect choice for such a spare, minimal shape because it shows off the slick edges and heavily edited design. With a very edgy outfit, these shoes would be the perfect compliment. Just make sure you put some stain protector on them first. Buy through Net-a-Porter for $465.

I am too clumsy/unlucky to wear these shoes. Even with all the Scotchguard in the world, these will never work for me. I admire the woman who can make these work.

LOVE! Unfortunately, all I can see myself doing it scuffing them to death-big, black scuff marks.
