Would You Rather: Furry heels or furry toes?

When I inaugurate a new feature, I think it needs to be done with a bang, so why not talk about some more insane fuzzy shoes? I’m sure you guys can figure out Would You Rather – I give you two similar (but different!) options, you let me know which pair you’d rather wear. Sometimes neither pair is awesome, sometimes they both are, sometimes they’re both just weird. I’m not sure exactly which category the Alexander Wang Simona Rabbit Sandals and Christian Louboutin Lady Fur Slingbacks fall into, but I suppose that’s for you to decide.

Personally, I think this comparison is a no-brainer, for a few reasons. First, on a functional level, furry heels are much easier to keep clean, particularly when they’re atop a vertiginous stiletto. On the other hand, Alexander Wang’s furry toes are right down there in the dirt and muck, and even if you live somewhere where it never rains, the light fur is still going to drag the ground and get super dusty. These shoes are good for editorial exposure, but I don’t see how they can be successfully worn if the owner plans to leave the house at any point.

Which is not to say that I don’t have a criticism or two of the Louboutins. Mostly, for a shoe that so closely resembles marabou bedroom slippers, picking a sexual color scheme like red and black seems a bit…obvious. If we could get the Louboutins in the same dove grey color of the Wangs, I’d be a happy girl. The end result would be more sophisticated than the Louboutins, but also far more wearable than the Wangs. But you can’t pick both or neither! You have to choose one or the other. If I HAD to choose, I’d say the Loubs, but I’d probably not wear them out of the house (read: bedroom). However, if that were the case, I’d probably get away with the Wangs. But that might show up how little I hoover. But there again, wearing them might mean I need to hoover less, as I’d be sweeping up with every step. They do have that weird, unnecessary mudflap thing on the back, though..

This is far too hard. My “would you rather”s are usually along the lines of “would you rather have cardboard box arms or satellite dish ears?”. The answer to which is, clearly, obvious.

funnily i would rather the wags but only wear them to do the cleaning in the house that way you can multitask (if only they where as cheap as they look) but in the other hand the loubis are always great for the bedroom.

i’d choose the Louboutins but in another color scheme… because black and red is too obvious Louboutin that it screams… but it’s pure sex with the Jessica Rabbit undertones that i’m sensing.. and i don’t think i can get out of the house wearing that and a black corseted dress from D&G coz my bf would just rip them right off! hahaha

The Wangs may be perfect with the color and i’m digging the mudflaps but i think they’re better suited indoors while scantily clad men fulfill your every whim… hahaha… The Wangs managed to tone down the sex and focused more on the editorial aspect but they threw practicality out the window..

The Louboutins even though I think that they would tickle my heels. The fur on the Wangs is so close to the ground and are so light in color that they would be filthy before I even got to my car.

Louboutins. Of course it doesnt come only in this colour. Today i saw them in suede in brown.

It’s actually not that hard to choose. Heels for sure! Furry toes is sooo tacky. A no-brainer indeed!

With out a doubt Christians all the way! Their so versatile if you’ve got the vision. With jeans they will look amazing and with a black Herve Leger, all eyes will be on you!

People act like louboutins are the “be all end all” I like the wangs. Yes the fur is dragging on the ground,but hell I’m sure there meant to wear where there is carpet. Plus there much prettier, and doesn’t scream “throw me on the bed, make me swing from the chadelier”.
