Jimmy Choo Gets Animal Print Right with the Megan Sandals

I am writing about these shoes because they are named after me, well, kind of. The Megan’s from Jimmy Choo are close enough to my full name, Meaghan. So I’ll take it. And you know what, these shoes do my name justice.

The Jimmy Choo Megan Zebra Sandals feature strappy black and white zebra print hide. There is only one detail that I am not fond of.

Check out that silver-tone buckle fastening. It has an extreme country flair, and I just feel like it makes the shoe way too Western and less edgy. It doesn’t make me hate the shoes, but I just wish the hardware was more simple to give a cleaner sleek finish.

But the overall vibe sports a Western touch. The heel is manageable, 3.5 inches. I can see many loving this shoe. For the first shoe I have seen with my name (ish), I am happy. Buy via NAP for $1,195.

I love black and white for summer. Crisp, clean, cool. I just got a pair of Dries that are similar, but not animal print. I plan to wear them a lot!

I love them! I’m super into anything that resembles zebra! The buckle is a little much for me, but the rest of the shoe makes up for it in my mind.

I’m normally not a fan of the animal print, but this pair of shoes I can definitely go onboard with. I agree with the buckle, however…..maybe something more contemporary and sleeker….the hareware detail would definitely elevate the overall look of the shoes to another level!

I usually love animal print but something about the print I find unappealing. However I love the style and by the looks of it, it looks quite comfortable to wear. I love the femininity and modern feel. Maybe of the heels were a bit thicker it would be more comfy but then again that might take away the aesthetic of the design.

I didn’t immediately notice the hardware, but once you pointed it out, I liked these shoes less. You are totally right that it just doesn’t fit. At first these heels look so chic and stylish… and then they take it to the western place with that hardware… it’s just not good.
