I’ve talked a bit over at PurseBlog about how Kate Spade has done such a great job of creating a very clear ideal woman since the brand hired some new creative talent several seasons back, and the Kate Spade Lourdes Slingbacks – are an extension of that woman. They’re bright, confident, and totally in charge of their own personal style, just like the women who wear them will be.

Anyone who reads this blog regularly knows that these are not the kind of shoes to which I’m usually drawn, but they’re just so…pretty. Really, genuinely pretty instead of just merely nice-looking or attractive. They’re obviously and proudly feminine, with lots of colors combining to form heart shapes on a ladylike, delicately heeled background. And even though my personal wardrobe is more Debbie Harry than Audrey Hepburn, I can’t help but appreciate the joys of being a girly girl from time to time.
