To close out the year, let’s revisit Dior Spring 2011

Spring 2011 collections saw some truly fantastic shoes (I’m looking at you, Prada), but of all of them, I loved the Dior Spring 2011 footwear the most. We’ve already had a chance to see many of the collection’s pieces in action on the runway, but still close-ups are always a great way to appreciate the fine detail, particularly when dealing with shoes this intricate.

The best of these styles are not what you’d call everyday wearable, but they are certainly a lush, vibrant, campy sight to behold. And really, that’s how I’d like to look back on this or any year – as something fantastical and alive instead of just another run-of-the-mill black pump.

I love most of the shoes. They are bright, cheery, and absolutely cute. The sandals with the flower on top reminds me of the Dior Couture Collection that had all of the watercolor florals.

1,2,4,18,19 are just beautiful!!! i have to agree on the previous article…the shoe lace is bleh but i love the colors on all shoes! (ipad)

I really love the “bluebird” shoes at the top What a fun accessory they would be for my wheelchair. But I’d actually be happy with almost any of the others too. Happy Shoe Year!

All of these shoes, with the exception of 8, 10 and 12, and a little ridiculous and frankly, tacky. Most seem like one-time-wear shoes. And the woven platforms make them look cheap. Not loving this collection.
