The Comme des Garcons Covered Lace-Up Loafers are the kind of shoes that I tend to like but that many women tend to entirely ignore. They’re strongly masculine and modern, with little in the way of a nod toward femininity or traditional prettiness of any kind.

They’re kind of butch, and I kind of love them for it.

Perhaps my love of shoes like these is the only proof that anyone needs to know that I’ve been sucked down the fashion rabbit hole for good, but I find something intensely attractive about a piece that’s willing to eschew traditional femininity in favor of modernism and sharp aesthetics. At the same time, though, I can’t imagine these shoes being particularly hard to work into a wardrobe, as long as your closet is long on opaque tights and you’re a little adventurous. Buy through Saks for $685.

I love the simplicity of these. Would look great with jeggings or skinny jeans.

yikes !!! is it only me who thinks they look like golf shoes?

I really like them. I wouldnt buy them because i cant get my head round what they look good with. They also do kinda remind me of golf shoes!

    Not a fan.
Skinny jeans make your feet look big. With these shoes, the feet would look clownish. This is one trend that I wish would just go away.
And yeah, if you added some spikes, they would definitely look like golf shoes.
