I also think that it’s possible that the color of the python on the platform will vary from shoe to shoe; this pair might just be a tad dark.

I agree, but I have a feeling that once on foot that platform would not bother me as much as in the photo; the naturally darker bit might give the shoe a longer life. Actually, from all things python that I have seen recently these just seem to be at a great price.

The one thing that ruins this shoe is the platform sole. It looks weirdly out of place and its covered with a darker python skin bit which makes it stand out even more. Otherwise the fact that the sole is covered in python is such a lovely touch. I would love to see it in person for final approval….
