Kitten heels tend to get an almost unanimous thumbs-down from dedicated shoe people, but are kitten wedges somehow more…acceptable? I find them less proportionally odd because you don’t get the skinny, squatty heel effect that comes with a traditional kitten, but please consider the Miu Miu Patent Leather Wedge Sandals and Prada Point-Toe Wedge Pumps above and let’s discuss the issue in more detail.

I’m not sure, but I think I’m ready to embrace the kitten wedge. These certainly aren’t the sexiest shoes on the market, or the trendiest, but we all need a few good, functional pairs in our closets for days that require more foot time than usual. Or if you have a job that requires both professional attire and lots of walking, shoes like these might be a good way to look polished and still keep your sanity.

Sanity-saving shoes may not be the most drool-worthy of the season’s footwear options, but they certainly have a place in a lot of closets. Although I’ll be the first to admit that discussing a design’s more utilitarian strongpoints does dampen the shoe magic just a bit.

Now that you are mentioning it…. I think I am ready to embrace kitten wedges, too. And I used to hate them. But with the right outfit and on the right shoe of course, they can actually look cute, even trendy. And yes, kitten wedges can be comfy – and there is nothing wrong with that.
Btw, the shoes you presented are fine.

I think kitten wedges are cute! I hate kitten heels because I think they are pointless. You can hardly see the heel so it seems to serve no purpose–it’s neither flattering nor visually interesting; you might as well wear some cute, comfy flats. Kitten wedges, on the other hand, are more clearly visible so they definitely do add something to the shoe.

i always thought kitten wedges were for tall people hahaha
    those two are adorable.

Actually, I think kitten wedges are a good call for short people like me who need to add a bit of length to the leg even when we want the look of a flat :)

    Perfect work shoe !!

I dislike the kitten heel but I can get jiggy with the kitten wedge. I’m not quite sure why but it just seems to make more sense. Maybe because the “kitten heel” is quite unattractive and an awful paradox. Kitten heels are definitely for tall people who don’t have balls to wear real heels. Yeah, I said it! But kitten wedges are cool for all in my book :)

I like them! Simply because they look much better (ie less chunky) than full wedges. I was never a fan of wedges, and these are a great way to embrace them, but in a sleek fashion.

The black ones look like a halloween witch costume reject. The red ones i get only because they are T bar otherwise im not on board with kitten wedges. Its almost like they have an identity crisis. They kinda look like a flat but they arent and they have wedges but they are not wedges…i dont really even wanna get started on where the kitten heel fits in.

I love the kitten wedges. The high heel wedges just don’t work for my flat feet or scoliosis. I like the look without the height or killing my feet and back. I bought the cutest pair of regular wedges, but it wasn’t worth the pain so I got rid of them.
Not sure about the black, but that red is HOT!
