Cesare Paciotti finds a new way to make black booties interesting

After a certain amount of time, it seems as though you’ve seen every pair of black ankle boots you ever need to see. They’re new classics, of course, and every woman should have a pair in her closet to sub in for her basic black pumps every now and then. The note of modernity that the look imparts is indispensable.

With indispensability, though, comes familiarity. And familiarity breeds contempt. It’s been a while since a black ankle bootie has been worth writing home about since we’re constantly bombarded by similar designs, but the Cesare Paciotti Platform Suede Booties more than deserve a mention.

One thing that Paciotti does really well is embrace the bizarre, and by that measure, these booties are positively restrained. The intricate carving on the platform and heel makes them special without making them any less neutral or functional, though, and the red interior gives you a little bit of hidden glamour. Is it just me, or is the first word that comes to mind when looking at these booties “severe”? The tiered platform, swirled heel and deep opening makes this one scary pair of shoes.

Beautiful to look at, but I don’t think that I could actually wear them. Are they really considered booties? The heels to me put it in the stilletto category.

whoaaa !!! Perfection !!! they are guaranteed to add inches to your legs, and the suede is very elegant !
