At this point, you’ve likely already decided how you feel about the Yves Saint Laurent Tribtoo Pump. Every celebrity on the face of the planet seems to have at least one pair, and people like Kim Kardashian definitely have more than their fair share. I don’t think I’ve gone a single day in recent memory without seeing these shoes on the internet, TV or some random woman on the street.

I happen to love them, which is probably a sentiment I’ve expressed before in these parts, and I love the Yves Saint Laurent Python Tribtoos even more. YSL doesn’t often use a lot of exotic leathers in its shoes, but the covered platform and closed toe of this design are a perfect, seamless backdrop to gorgeous beige python.

Flesh-colored pumps are an important weapon in any woman’s footwear arsenal because of the amazing visual tricks that they can play concerning the length of one’s legs, and if you’re approximately my color, then these shoes would be approximately wonderful for you. Not only that, but they’re much better than your average leather pump. The flaky, sueded texture of the python takes these shoes to another level. If this color isn’t your favorite (or if you already have a pair of nude pumps that you love), the design also comes in blue. Buy through Saks for $1295.

When did shoes start costing as much as bags? This rivals YSL’s Roady Hobo in price!

Shoe prices have definitely skyrocketed over the past few years. I will say, though, that at least this pair is made of real python.

Ah yes, python never fails to excite.

I hemmed and hawed about buying these shoes (in a different material) at the Barney’s sale this summer for under $300. I think that the proportions are a little strange – they weren’t very flattering looking! I honestly think that they look a little cartoony :) That being said, so many people wear them, maybe it’s just me.

I Loved These Soooooo Much! I Had To Own Both Colours!

they delifitely have a better, softer look than the other tribtoos, but I am a bit over them. Of how I coveted them in the past (ended up buying a Missoni version in black suede with a dricreet Missoni trim because they were cheaper). In theory these pumps should make any woman look taller (and therefore slimmer); but paired with a skirt – the effect is quite different. Turbo was right.
