Fashion Week Shoes: Prada Spring 2011

Ok, that’s it. Prada has won Fashion Week. Prada might have won fashion as a whole. With nary a stiletto in sight, Miuccia Prada gave us a bold look at where footwear is headed and presented the strongest shoe collection of the season so far, with plenty of room to spare between her and her next closest competitor.

Like the rest of Prada Spring 2011, the shoes were a technicolor feast for the eyes from every angle, accented with shimmering space-aged silver leather. Although the many-colored woven pumps seem to be the favorites of the collection (and for obvious reasons – they’re nothing short of brilliant), my personal lust objects for the next six months will be the striped Mary Janes. The green ones will be my first pair of Prada shoes, mark my words. These designs inspire the kind of love that even high price tags cannot dampen.

I guess technicolour is the fashion for spring and Miuccia does it the best. Im not sure about the platform oxfords though. I love the blue and white mary janes.

  Spring stuff usually starts shipping during the winter! We’ll post as soon as we find these shoes for sale someplace, but Neiman Marcus and Saks are always great places to try for Prada.

The Mary Janes are beyond fabulous! The check heels are simply gorgeous. Stunning stunning shoes! Are these shoes ever likely to be available online? If not, who would stock these in London UK? I live in South Africa and our stores are unlikely to stock these until the end of 2011, if at all! I don’t think I could possibly continue my life without them!

I’m desperate!! Have been looking for the blue and white Mary Jane in size 6. I have checked with Saks, NM, Prada stores in NY, Chicago, FL, coming up at a deadend. How can they all be gone this soon? Does anyone know where I can find them? Need before May 7, for the KY Derby.

  I too have been looking since I first saw these shoes. I have been told by 2 different prada stores in NYC that the blue and white mary janes were not made for the general public, only runway and print adds. The similar looking blue and white shoes shown at top of left side column are exclusive (in that color scheme) to Neimans but have not yet made it to the stores. The other colors in that style are available at various prada store if they haven’t run out. Good luck!
