The title of this post may be a tad hyperbolic (we love Giuseppe Zanotti’s shoes, clearly), but you have to hand it to the shoe designers at McQueen – the Alexander McQueen Crystal-Embellished Pump is a perfect shoe for a woman who wants to push the envelope a bit, but only a bit, for a special night out.

My love for this design’s matching Skull Clutch is well documented, and although I’m not a fan of matchy-matchy shoes and bags, I’d carry this combination in a heartbeat.

If I were ever to go head-to-toe in one designer, McQueen would be my choice, and these shoes are a great place to start. Although they’re technically tricolored, the design pulls off a pretty neat trick by incorporating purple and silver without making the shoes difficult to work into an existing wardrobe. Under a pair of well-cut trousers, the embellishment wouldn’t even be seen, making them surprisingly wearable for a variety of occasions. Surely, though, the best way to wear these shoes is with a dress so that all the word can see their sparkling glory. Buy through Zappos for $1396.
