Casadei Spring 2013 Wedges

If tasked with explaining the Casadei Spring 2013 Wedge Sandals to someone, I don’t know what I’d call them, other than “really quite tall.” Of course, I doubt I’ll ever have to accomplish such a task – if you’ve seen one of these shoes, odds are you won’t forget it, and although you might be short on words, it’s likely not because these shoes defy description. In fact, it’s probably because you’re thanking your ankles for their years of dedicated servitude and promising them that you won’t ever try to strap a pair of these shoes on.

One could call these sandals “stripper heels,” of course, but that almost feels like you’re missing the point. Of course they’re basically high-end versions of the favored footwear of pole-polishers the world over; that’s exactly what they’re supposed to be. Without a doubt, though, some very pretty, well-tanned young woman is wobbling down the sidewalks of Miami in exactly such a pair of shoes at exactly this moment, and you better not tell her she’s wearing stripper shoes. She’s liable to take one off and hit you with it, and I bet that would hurt.
