Nothing signifies the promise and renewal of spring better than a wedding, right? The only problem, of course, is that weddings, especially of the spring variety (and especially of the outdoor spring variety), often ask us to step outside our comfort zones and don outfits that we might never wear to anything but a garden party. That doesn’t mean that sort of dressing can’t be fun, of course; it just take some of us longer to get into the swing of things than others. Fret not, wedding attendees – we’ve taken the liberty of doing your spring wedding shoe shopping for you.
There are a few things to consider when selecting a successful pair of shoes for a spring shindig, of course. First, if the ceremony or reception are outside and you’re going to be walking in grass, you want to choose either a flat or a thick heel so that you don’t accidentally aerate the venue’s lawn with your Louboutins. Second, any good wedding includes a lot of both dancing and boozing, and you don’t want to break your ankle while combining the two. With those things in mind, we’ve chosen a slew of fabulous spring shoes, from flats to stilettos and from $150 to $1,500, that’ll get you through the season. (At least until the beach weddings start.)
