As extravagant as designer shoes can be, they don’t get quite as extravagant as shoes do, under normal circumstances. Some designers (Stuart Weitzman, we’re looking at you) like to do gem-encrusted kicks to put an actresses at award shows from time to time, but as always, we like to concern ourselves primarily with what can be bought online, right now. After doing a full investigation of the most shockingly expensive handbags out there for your spontaneous consumption over at PurseBlog, we’ve turned our attention to The Internet’s Most Expensive Shoes, and we believe them to be none other than the Christian Louboutin Daffodile Strass Pumps.
Perhaps unsurprisingly, there was no shoe we could find at an online retailer to rival the $48,000 Gucci travel bag that took the crown over at PurseBlog. These hand-embellished Christian Louboutin pumps, which come in a number of colors, both solid and varied, ring up at a solid $6,295. Pricey, for sure, but not a number outside the realm of understanding for people who regularly buy luxury goods. Or for people who regularly buy Louboutins, for that matter. For the same price, you can’t even get yourself a regular ol’ leather Birkin. Not even second-hand.
As flashy as these shoes are, I can’t help but feel a bit bummed that there’s not something even more ridiculous and extravagant out there to tempt shoe lovers all over the Internet. If you know of something I missed, let me know in the comments. Otherwise, big spenders should feel free to pick up a pair of these Louboutins for $6,395 via Net-a-Porter.
